In 1970, after graduating from Rider University (Trenton, NJ) with a B.S. in business administration and a minor in economics, John Brink traveled to the West Coast and settled in Tahoe City, CA. He began working in the construction field and realized he had both an aptitude and a keen interest in learning the carpentry trade.
John enrolled in a four-year union carpentry apprenticeship program while working for a custom home builder, doing mainly finish work. In 1977, he went into business for himself. Through 1987, he built, on average, one home a year, along with performing remodeling and insurance repair work.
In 1988, John took the next step and began to grow his business. He started by hiring the best with the intent of creating an organization of skilled carpenters and craftsmen, supported by a full administrative and management team.
Now, with over 30 years of experience, John Brink Construction, Inc. has a solid reputation as one of the top builders in the North Tahoe/Truckee-Reno, Nevada area.
